Welcome to our The Mauritius Project. We have started this project in the hopes of broadening Wikitree's current record of Mauritian ancestry in the hopes of filling in missing links and breaking down brick walls as well as adding to an already brilliant single family tree.

If you have any questions or would like to join us, comment and introduce yourself below. If you have arrived here from our project page, fill in any questions you might have below. Join us and be a part of something great!

At the moment we are currently populating our Mauritian Ancestors A-Z and would like to ask that if you are a project member, that you add any Mauritian profiles you come across to our list. See how to add people to our index Adding Mauritian Ancestors and Descendants to Index.

We welcome all and hope to contribute in an epic way to Wikitree!

Hello Jacques, thank you for adding me to the project.  I am really excited about getting involved although I confess I am not very sure where to start but I am sure I will get the hang of things quickly with your help.    I have links to Mauritius via India and the UK but according to DNA results, no French connections which is peculiar as my maiden name was Olivier which is French..... yet another mystery to solve :)

I've researched an ancestral family of mine from France that migrated to Mauritius. Mauritius has a rich and diverse genealogy history and I look forward to collaborating.
