Whoah! G2G question link has been moved! [closed]

Links on profiles to g2g questions used to be placed at the top of the right column.  Now they are hidden way down under both DNA and images. Please move them back! It's hard enough to get people to use g2g to discuss profiles.  This move makes it so much harder.  Project management also relies on the former placement to track conversations that don't use the right project tags.

Yes, please!  The questions have become invisible.
Agreed!! I had trouble finding a question I was looking for!

Hi Jillaine,

That was a mistake. It should be fixed today.

(We had meant to move the questions for anonymous visitors only, but moved them for everyone who is not on the profile's Trusted List instead. That's why you would see them in their normal position for some profiles but not on others.)

Phew.  Thanks Chris.

Just curious: what's the thinking behind demoting their visibility for anonymous users? Are you trying to discourage the use of g2g by non members?

Yes, I agree...there have been a lot of changes in short period of time. Some have been understandable and others confusing as to the logic why.

This is not a good move. Please place questions at the top again.

Are we talking about the questions on our profile page? If so, mine are directly under my tags. Or are we talking about other profiles? I checked a couple out and found them directly above the DNA section.

Mine too.
On my profile page I see them under the tags section, but for other profiles the questions are between the Images section and the Collaboration section.
but if you look on the profile linked to the question it is under the DNAs. Maybe this change is rolled out not at once for all profiles, so that some already have it while others don't.

I for my case want to have the questions right on top. That's the easiest way to see if there were already discussions about a profile.
Looking at Carr’s profile jogged a memory that I’ve seen others this way. I don’t know why the discrepancy.
Thanks for noticing this. On my own profile, the Question links are under Followed Tags and above DNA.

On the profile in question (above), the question links are below DNA and Images and above Collaboration.

Finally a change I prefer.  Since we can't delete these links even when they're old and meaningless, at least they won't be quite so obvious.

J, when they become old and meaningless you can go to G2G and edit the question to delete the link.  That will remove it from the profile.
I can't edit them all away, unfortunately.  For example, several people have said I'm a wonderful wikitreer.  Those are stuck forever on my profile.  Perhaps if I follow more tags, they'll move out of site.
I don't think the PM can remove the link, you have to be the person who asked the question.  And even if you are, you can't do it if the thread has been closed by a Leader.
If there's something you really want removed, you can contact info@, and the team can do it. So can leaders and moderators here in G2G.
