The Captain or ship’s medical officer (if there was one) would have noted the event in their log book. What was the name of the ship, who was the captain and where was the ship’s home port? If England, the British Admiralty Office could possibly locate the captain’s log.

BEST answer & definitely will head me in the right direction to the British Admiralty Office - don't know the name of the ship; it came from Ireland and Ann Jane McCullough was born in May 1820.
