I do not understand why Wikitree permits one to add a child born after the parent has died, and similar problems. Sometimes this is caused by a simple typo. Why wait until nobody knows what is going on??

After the mother's death, then no, it shouldn't be allowed.  After the father's death, yes, it should be allowed.  Since gestation for an unborn child is usually around nine months, a child can be born almost a year after the father has died.
A lot of data are wrong.
Patricia, do you have a recent example of this happening? We added data checks a couple of years ago to stop this from happening.

Also one can set a child to have parents but with 'Uncertain' status, and dates themselves can have uncertain or 'before this date' status. So a check for this would involve a lot of complicated checking, and almost certainly get in people's way when they were trying to do reasonable things. There is a warning when you try to create a profile, and suggestions reports can highlight cases too.

Well, Wikitree could warn if actual prohibition is not feasible.

It generally does. If you add a child born after a parent has died, you should get a big red or yellow box are the top of the page that requires you to confirm that you want to proceed.
Patricia, in my experience, wikitree displays a large red warning after I hit save when editing either the child or the parent when a birth follows the death of either parent.
