Great Grandmother and family-- Was told that I am a descendant of Hans Christian Andersen. Looking to find out more.

His profile says he never married and never had any children. If that's true, then you can't be his descendant.

Go up to Find and look down the menu at Connections. Enter your ID and that of Hans Christian Anderson, which is Anderson-1789. Run the finder to see whether the relationship can be confirmed.

According to Wikipedia biography and several  others he not only never married but appears to have never had any romantic relationships. According to biographies he also had no brothers.

I am also a descendant of Hans Christian Andersen....just not "THE" Hans Christian Andersen, which is a very common name in Denmark.  Many families have this true/not true tradition.
