Alice (Cooke) Holmes seems to have been connected to a second husband (John Lyon aka 7th Lord Glamis) but it seems to be unsubstantiated.  The second husband currently shows as the father of most of her children, except for one: Richard Holmes, who is probably a duplicate of Richard John Holmes since they have the same wife.

It seems that this situation was not intended but happened as a result of a merge.

I happened across it in my Global Connection to Henry VIII, and noticed that it seemed unlikely.  There are public comments on some of the profiles involved; these comments describe the problem better than i can.

Does anyone feel confident in disconnecting Alice from her other 'husband' and reconnecting her Holmes children to their Holmes father?

Cheers

The edit comment says

"added Holmes to Lyons as he was known by both and his family went by Holmes"

which looks intentional to me.

There's obviously a story here.  But I don't think I want to know what it is.
There doesn't seem to be any actual source that connects the name Holmes to the family of Lyon of Glamis.  The family trees that make the connection seem to have contradictory dates...
Watching to see how this turns out as it affects my family tree. It does appear to have a date conflict but I was assuming that was because of some dates being circa.
looks like this has now been fixed.

Thanks, everyone!
