My maternal grandparents both came from planter class Southern families who had to go west To Arizona because they had family members who Had tuberculosis. I am seeking cousins there who might be willing to interact with me, plus information on ancestors.
I had a close friendship with Isabella Venable Caldwell and her daughter Ann. I hope to make contact with other cousins! I am seeking relatives of the Jones, Hall and Caldwell families of Tucson. My grandmother, Isabelle Daniel Jones, moved out there at the beginning of the 20th century. Probably around 1912 My grandfather John Hall Junior, was there also but not sure exactly when he arrived. Both of them worked for a newspaper in Tucson. There they fell in love but were not able to marry Until my grandmother’s brother Abraham Venable Jones Died in around 1915. They didn’t marry until 1918.. My mother was born on September 9, 1919, and her father died in February 1920 In Phoenix Arizona of the flu.Probably the last of the Spanish influenza. He had two brothers , Harry and Richard . My grandmother had a sister Mary( May or Polly) Venable Jones Caldwell. She had a son Archibald, and a daughter Isabella. Isabella played violin for the Tucson Symphony orchestra for many years. Her daughter, Ann , continued the tradition of Revering the Southern cause. My Great uncle .Harry Hall, who died in a railroad accident In the 30s or 40s, had one daughter, whose name was Harrilu. She was still living a few years ago and her name was then Judy. But I don’t remember her last name. She was in California. Please excuse me if she is still living but I don’t think she is As she was in her mid-80s & has not been in touch with me for a few years. My uncle Dick had no children I believe. Archibald went to the Bay Area in California and he is no longer living. He has some descendants. Can anyone help me with any of these families? Thank you very much
