New member introducing myself

Hello all!

I'm Ashley, and I'm new to wikitree. My geneaological research started in 2020 on FamilySearch. I'm primarily focused on the Shaws of Chesterfield, SC. According to a book written by a family member, The Shaw Brothers by Tyther Blake Shaw, my ancestors Murdock Wesley and Roderick A. Shaw were born to a Scottish immigrant. From what I've been able to find, it seems they may have actually lived in North Carolina prior to SC, but I haven't found anything concrete yet.

Additionally, I'm interested in finding information on my great grandfather's lineage. His name was Bogan Hall (1921-1986). His parents were John Henry Hall and Hallie (Nolan) Hall Player. The extent of my knowledge of Bogan is that he and his siblinbs, Robert and Emma Mae, are said to have spent time in an orphanage.
