Proposal: Stickers for profiles of convicts covered by the Australian Convicts and Early Settlers project

Following the change of policy requiring that Project Boxes are only used on Project Protected profiles and other profiles have stickers instead, we need stickers to use on profiles of Convicts transported to Australia. I've given an example of a convict ancestor and this is another one: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johnson-61629

My suggestion is to have 4 stickers (or editable) and with sticker type 4, to include the editable Colony (eg New South Wales / Van Diemen's Land) the person was transported to.

1. Convict on the First Fleet

2. Convict on the Second Fleet

3. Convict on the Third Fleet

4. Convict after the Third Fleet transported to [xxx Colony]

If you think this is a good idea, or have strong objections please answer this question! The proposal need the support of at least 3 active members who have profiles that they could add this sticker to.

Thanks

Sticker is updated, and almost ready for primetime!

  1. Space links have been added;
  2. Categories for First, Second and Third fleet have been added (no category for 'after third fleet');
  3. Documentation updated on purpose and usage.

If you have any further changes, please let me know. Otherwise, you are free to begin usage of the sticker.

Very exciting! Thank you Steve for all your hard work developing the stickers and taking on board all our feedback. You’ve been really brilliant to work with. We will all look forward to proudly displaying the stickers on our ancestors.
This is a great idea, WA colony is known as Swan River Colony and there is another one called King George's Sound (now Albany) which was also a colony of sorts. Usually convicts got sent to one of a few Convict depots and then sent out for labouring work for free settlers from there. I know there were three convict depots. It is a bit of a unique history, WA.. I know Roebourne, Rottnest Island and the Boab prison tree near Derby were quite important in our convict history.
To be more clear I think it is appropriate to just have Convict after the Third Fleet transported to Swan River Colony for Western Australia.
Thanks Kylie. I knew you could help us out.
Hi Steve, I've just trialled the 'After the Third Fleet to x colony' Sticker on two of my profiles and it is adding the First Fleet category. Are you able to fix this up? This is an example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gardner-12740

I just tried the 'After the Third Fleet' sticker and it has the same problem.
Thanks
This is fixed!
Thanks Steve!
I have put a few of these stickers on my convict ancestors, but am wondering what to do with my other ancestors who came on the Second Fleet but were not convicts. Is there a sticker for the NSW Corps?
Hi Danielle, Veronica is working on a few more stickers at the moment, including a 'came free' sticker. We'll keep you posted when that is available

These look good.  Should it state Tasmania? Not just sent to Australia.  See point 4 above.
Hi Deborah, that would be the idea, that there is an option to add the specific colony as Anne has pointed out (not State as per my original proposal)
