Question

Married Mary Jane Spencer (Spencer) around 1859. Sons are Thomas Monroe, John B., and William B. He is my ggg grandfather. Family from Halifax Virginia. Several names are found in research, Millus, Mellis, Carmillus. Mother as Elizabeth, no last name, no father found yet. Thanks for any help.

I know he went by Millus, and I also know Mary Jane Spencer was his wife. I have her lineage. So probably not. But thanks that was fun.

I'm not sure if that was a question about Mary Jane Spencer, or just a comment. But, yes her birth name was also Spencer, they were cousins. Oddly their son Thomas Monroe married Victoria Tuck, a family well known for inter-marrying cousins through the late 1700s and early 1880s. Just an aside.
