I've accidentally made a duplicate person entry, how can I erase this?

Do you mean you create a Duplicate profile? If so you will need to propose a merge. We don’t delete profiles here at WikiTree

Alternatively, if you have other people with the same surname that you want to add, you can re-purpose the duplicate profile for another person's profile.
