Obtained from searching for Carroll births registered in Dublin from 1903 onwards and finding 'morr' on each page for the mother's maiden name. Any births from 1917 onwards are not available.

Family in 1911: here. This shows five children born and surviving, so Alice in the census is Mary Alice from 1903.

Hi Jason thanks for your help. Please allow to explain the reason for all the questions I have posted. My father passed away 7 years ago and at that time I wasn't remotely interested in researching my Irish roots so i didn't ask him for any details

All I have as concrete info are the names of my grandparents and that's all, I don't know who my grandad's (Christopher Carroll) parents were & I know he had a brother called (John Carroll) as I met him back in Feb 2000 at my grandad's funeral
