The following pdf is a nicely researched essay.  It has a lot of Confederation era militia history for the Peterborough, Ontario area, along with it's relation to the Fenian Raids. Plenty of fodder for profiles and categories.

A History of Peterborough Area Militia and Fenian Raids by Creighton Avery, Completed for: Lang Pioneer Village, 2013

http://trentcentre.ca/documents/public/4131FinalReport.pdf

At least one person mentioned in the report has a profile: William Nassau Kennedy (1839 - 1885)

Hi Santino,

I've been thinking for some time that the Fenian Raids should have a free-space page in the Canada Project. They were an important part of Ontario's history and the page could be set up by the Ontario Team. Please let me know if you'd be interested in joining the Canada Project and the Ontario Team and working on this with us.

Thanks,

Laurie, Project Coordinator for Ontario Team, Canada Project

Glad to find this discussion. We probably should consider adding/ and linking the Canada General Service Medal [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_General_Service_Medal]] which was awarded to participants to the Medals and Decorations page [[https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Military_Decorations%2C_Canada]]
