I saw your post and I thought I could help, but this is really hard. I first went to familysearch but could not get the exact date of a Ebenezer Carpenter. Then I went to Find a grave.org and thought maybe I can at least locate him there. But I found their are only 4 Ebenezer Carpenter's there in Mass. And none came close to the date you had. I thought one could be his father.But it was not. So I searched the United States for a Carpenter with the dates you had and I found this one, but he is buried in Connecticut.
Ebenezer Carpenter B. 9 Nov 1709 Tolland County, Connecticut and died 30 Jan 1777 -age 67 Tolland. Ct. North Coventry Cemetery Parents: Benjamin Carpenter 1663-1738 and mother; Hannah Strong Carpenter - 1671 - 1762 Spouse; Eunice Thompson Carpenter Born 1723,---and died 1777 Find a grave memorial # 11483175 This is the only one that comes close but is not exactly the same dates.
