Hi

I am getting edit conflict. I have been working on the Bells of America. This person is a Rev. Soldier . I am hoping he is a connector. I have all other pages closed so that is not the cause of this problem.

Add an Unrelated Person

If you're adding a family member it's better to add them as a parent, sibling, spouse, or child from your profile or from someone else in your family tree or Watchlist instead of using this form. This form is for adding people without a known family connection to anyone else on WikiTree.Help

First   First, enter the first name and last name at birth, and a birth date and/or death date.
(Help: Enter "Unknown" if you don't know the first or last name at birth. You can enter an initial if extra privacy is required. Never enter a fake name. The dates can be skipped if the person is still living. If they're non-living but you don't know either date, enter an estimate for one of them. Mark it "estimated/uncertain" and then explain how the estimate was made in the "Notes" field lower down on this page.)

Gender: MaleFemale

Second   Second, compare close matches that already exist on WikiTree.

No close matches were found. Proceed to step 3.

Third   Third, add any additional information you have available. All this is optional, except including the source of this information.
Include an e-mail address if this is a living person who you'll allow into the Trusted List of your profile. We'll send them one invitation on your behalf. The address will not be used for spam.

Anon, although the most common cause of the edit conflict message is when you have multiple windows open on family members, there are other causes.  Someone else might have been working on the same profile from which you tried to add the new profile.

I'd suggest that you close the profile you started from, re-open it, and try to add the person again.  If that does not work smoothly then you can add the tags:  tech    and     sysops    to this question to get faster attention from the folks who will need to deal with it.

Hi Gail

Thank you for your answer. I did put tech help but I will put the other tag. I am not connecting him to anyone and if I close it no one will be able to see him and I will have to do another one,That happened to me the other day

Jenny
Hi Anon, I had fixed tags so they would have spaces instead of dashes between them. That way they will be in green background as they are shown now. Thanks, Dorothy, G2G Moderator.
