Keep in mind that the Military and War Project Box is for use on any profile which has Military and War as the PM and does not have its own project box.  This can be confusing because some smaller subprojects have their own project box but not project account (PM). For example, a profile from the War in Afghanistan will have the project box of that war with Military and War as the PM whereas a profile which does not belong to a specific subproject (because one doesn’t exist yet) can be given the Military and War project box if Military and War is the PM. Do not give a profile both project boxes please.

Is all those in a war project expected to be a Veteran?

except for the 1776 project which includes people civilians with patriotic and civil service, the focus of the military and war projects is for people who have military service, active duty, reserves, national guard, militia, armed guard/merchant marine during time of war, auxiliaries, etc.

some categories have been created for civilian casualties during a war but we do not look after those.
