Can a French speaking/writing WikiTreer please check this error? [closed]

There is a "suggestion" that the birth place for this profile is incorrect.  I think the profile is showing the place at the time and also the current designation in parentheses.  I don't know enough French to fix this profile if indeed there is an error. Can someone look at the birth place please and edit, if necessary?  Thanks!

Merci infiniment! (yes, I had to look it up).  But, truly thank you!

From the birth record [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L99S-GK39?i=540&wc=9RLZ-4WL%3A17465801%2C17465802%2C19241003&cc=1321742], I think that it should be seen as Pointe-aux-Trembles de la Longue Pointe (Île de Montréal - if we are to use the situation as it was at the time.

I changed the text to that effect.

Information on Pointe-aux-Trembles... we should use "Fort de Pointe-aux-Trembles" up to 1845 and then "Pointe-aux-Trembles"

Guy,

Then, what should we do with this name as it was obviously used before the fort, at least,  by the church? (see birth record).

Wikipedia is a good source but does not necessarily reflect the complete and true context of the time.

This reminds me of another such historical name on the same Montreal island: Sainte-Anne-du-Bout-de-l'Ile = Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

Personnally, one or the other does not turn me off as I know the difference. It may not be the same for everybody.
In coming weeks, the Quebecois Project will look into ALL historical names to organise those places as they should be.
