So I was sent the email announcing the 500,000 members! That's is great!
I never have introduced myself, so her it goes. My name is Margaret H., I have been researching genealogy since 1985, then stopped, kids left and started again. I have years on Ancestry.com with over 100 trees and I quit. Then did their dna and got back in on the budget plan. All those 100 trees, I uploaded, as I thought someone would like the work, even if it didn't pan out for me and mine... but was saddened to see all the work didn't transfer. Anyway, I am now trying to make certain that anyone on my list is sourced and then I have to let them go because I have ADD and too much is toooooo much. I know I am making mistakes and am doing my best. I really appreciate those of you who are really form perfect and have cleaned up after me! I like working with the group, but don't confer much because I'm so busy catching it all up. But I am getting there. So thank you pro's! I have seen some of the new changes at familysearch and I think they will be great, but they aren't working for me as yet. I've also noticed that things I had issues with in the past, are changing. I think it's due to dna results. I haven't EVEN gotten into the gedcom. yet. Have it there, but don't ever look. Anyway, I am glad to have found wikitree, it had me in tears and pulling the hair out of my head for weeks. But I got it. Still lots more, to go but will getting to the nitty gritty research as soon as I have all my persons sourced. Thanks, nice to be a part of such an effort, part of a huge FAMILY!
Our brick wall on the Bale/Bayle side is Abram Bale b 1781 and died 1849 in Lewiston, Niagara, New York. And William Patterson, from New Jersey who died in Hendricks County, Indiana.
Blessings., Margaret
PS. I am pro adoption so anyone looking for a family connection on my lines, please don't be shy! I too have adoptees, and already someone put some great info up! Everyone deserves to know their history imho.
