Weekly "Profile of the week" section

Hi, I enjoy the weekly Profile of the Week "find your connection". I have a couple of connections who seem to connect by paper to many of the "famous people" many degrees away (not genetically)

I went to show a friend a connection that in a previous week had existed. I went to the gallery of profiles, clicked on the person to get their profile, scrolled to the bottom where it says check your connections. At this point it keeps going back to only Queen Elizabeth. I then selected "find your genealogical relationship" and on that page selected the relationship finder. This doesn't show the connection either.

I tried a number of different people and know it did show a connection because I printed some of them out.

Is it malfunctioning or is there another way to look at the previous profiles of the Week?

Thanks, Sue

Hi Sue,

For others' reference, you can find the profiles of the week in the Examples Gallery here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Examples

As far as the Connection Finder goes though, the profile of the week individuals are only featured for one week. Once they are gone, you won't be able to see the Connection anymore.  You can get a shareable image from the connection page though. Maybe save something like that each week so you can show it to others when they are interested?  Or print it off like you mentioned.

As Ros pointed out I orginially had incorrect link to photo of the week, but "Member of the week" might be what you are looking for that they include in their weekly or biweekly blog:

http://www.wikitree.com/blog/

New member introduced with their bio, and family tree. Then for that week you could see if you connected to that person. But as Ros mentioned there may not be an achieve for that.

Come to think about it, I was member of the week back in Sept 2017, and they did do that connection, but now its gone from the page.

But surely this is PHOTO of the week, not PROFILE of the week?

And I have a horrible feeling that, with PROFILE of the week, once the week is done, it's done.  Not sure there is an archive.  If you miss it - sorry.
