Are these two WikiTree profiles your Jane - Logan-2609, and her husband John - Jones-45912 ?
If so, then I think it might be premature to attempt to answer your question.
These profiles seem to be based on sources that give details for their son John (Jones-45738) and grandson John Joseph (Jones-26545), but I have a number of questions about the information, and I suggest you look for sources to confirm the facts that appear in the existing profiles before building on them.
First I see a difference of 30 years in the son's birth date in the bio and the wiki. If his dates aren't right, then I wonder how reliable are his parents? Thirty years creates a wide range of possibilities for John and Jane Jones.
Second, the son seems to be a duplicate. At least the mother of his child is married to another John Jones - (Jones-26547), and solving that puzzle might lead to more insight into who he really was, and who his parents were.
Finally, the sources for this family are referenced as "family papers" on the grandson's profile, and the profile manager has added a caution that it maybe incorrect.
- The census information for New Brunswick in that period can be very helpful. You can search each decade from 1851 to 1921 on the Library and Archives Canada webste. For example here is a John Jones, son of John and Jane, and the detail shows that the family lived next door to the Logans in Restigouche. If this is your family, the looking at each of the siblings might provide more insight into the parents. Similarly you may be able to get a good estimate of marriage date, once you see him as a father.
- The vital records may not be complete for this period: but they are certainly worth a good close look for these persons and other members of their family.
