My sixth great grandfather, Cyrus Bustill, was the property of Thomas Pryor Jr purchased in 1762 and he learned to bake bread as Pryor's slave.  Thomas Pryor Jr provided Cyrus the opportunity to purchase his freedom which he did at age 36 in 1769 after completion of seven years indenture.

Cyrus probably adopted Quaker practices under the influence of Thomas Pryor,Thomas Pryor Jr, and other Quakers known by Pryor.

Cyrus Bustill baked bread for the troops at Valley Forge.

Thomas W Pryor was named the executive of Cyrus Bustill will.

His life runs from 1732 - 1806. I hope you are able to find more information, as this sounds like an interesting story. -NGP
