Looking for help on finding the parents of Ann Eliza (Goodwin) Leonard. All I could find was he mother may have been Abigail Goodwin born in Canada.  Ann Eliza (Goodwin) Leonard was possibly born in Colton NY or Canada in 1836. She married Philo T Leonard 26 Dec 1855 possibly in Pierrepont, St. Lawrence Co, NY. She passed away in 1897 and is buried in the Pirrepont Hill Cemetery St. Lawrence Co, NY.

Based on the marriage record of a son, you may want to check some other spellings of the name...she is Eliza Ann and he is Filo

"New York Marriages, 1686-1980," database, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F6ST-5PB : 12 December 2014), Eliza Ann Goodwin in entry for Moses I. Leonard and Sarah Jane Bonno, 26 Nov 1889; citing reference 2:1VD717M; FHL microfilm 1,311,928.

Here is a census record with the son from the marriage record above and with her mother as Abigail

"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MZFJ-JDB : 13 September 2017), Ann Leonard in household of Philo Leonard, Pierrepont, St Lawrence, New York, United States; citing enumeration district ED 229, sheet 14B, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0926; FHL microfilm 1,254,926.

From these two records, your search should concentrate around Pierpoint/Pierrepoint, New York

This appears to be Philo and Ann living with HIS parents, again, their child Moses is on this record.

"United States Census, 1870," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8KK-HGP : 12 April 2016), Eliza Ann Leonard in household of Moses Leonard, New York, United States; citing p. 42, family 344, NARA microfilm publication M593 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 552,598.

I have checked the spellings of Ann Eliza, Eliza Ann also the spelling Aliza, Alisa.

In the book Memorial: Genealogical, History and Biographial, of Solomon Leonard 1637 pg. 378  Philo T. Leonard was b. in Pierrepont, N.Y., June 1833: m. Dec. 26 1855 Ann E. Goodwin.

https://archive.org/stream/memorialgenealog00leon#page/378/mode/2up/search/Philo+T+leonard

Pirrepont Hill Cemetery St. Lawrence Co, NY. shows her name spelled Ann E. His wife 1836-1897.

I have check the familysearch.org records and have found numerous errors on how names are spelled. One Census Record states she was born in Colton, N.Y. another one stated Canada East.

I'm working on this with what I was handed down from my Grandmother.
