It was his son, Jesse Smith Woodward, who served as a sergeant in the War of 1812 in Daniel Talcott's Company, Anthony Sprague Regiment. This Caleb Woodward died in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. He is buried in Springford Cemetery, Springford, Oxford, Ontario, Canada.
