John Heise-Germany or Hungary

Question

I can't find my grandfather, John Heise, his birth? he was born over in Germany or Hungary. I beleive he was born abt  1858, 1866 & 1867...I do not  know what year he was born...he came over here, on the 1920 census, he was married to Margaret & daughter, Margaret Marie Heis...Margaret died in 1924..1930 census, he was married to Elma Alma Kendall, they had 2 sons, John[ my father] & Luther Daniel Heis...I can't find it anywhere...can you help me? it says on the 1920 census he came here in 1887, also it says 1930 census it says 1895...which one is true? HELP ME???
