Question

I have been interested in gangsters lately, so I added a profile for Baby Face Nelson, whose parents immigrated from Belgium, so that was a dead end for me.  Then I added Melvin Purvis and found J. Edgar Hoover had a profile but he wasn't connected.  So I added his grandparents which connected him to the Lindsay line, which connects to the main tree.  Me and the Hoove are 15th cousins! Yikes.  Then I checked J. Edgar's connection to Joseph Broussard and noticed the name Vachel Lindsay in the chain. Could it be THE Vachel Lindsay, the poet? Indeed it is, and Lindsay-1945 and Hoover are 3rd cousins, 2x removed.  Wow.

I hoped the answer would be "No."

Nothing within 15 generations, but when I searched out to 30 generations I got an answer of 14th cousins, twice removed. The alleged MRCA is a grandfather of Anne Boleyn.
