A belated Happy Thanksgiving and some news from the Ontario Project:

Greg Slade has started a G2G thread on Ontario categorization. We’re looking for volunteers to help update Ontario’s categories. Check it out at

https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/468353/ontario-categories?show=479325#c479325

The number of profiles for Members of Parliament for Ontario has reached 100! They include a profile for Agnes Macphail, the first woman elected to Canada's House of Commons.

If you have ancestors from Haliburton County in central Ontario, I’ve come across a local history published by the county in 1968 (In Quest of Yesterday, not online) and would be happy to look up names. Local communities include Haliburton, Minden, Gooderham, Irondale and Fort Irwin. Settlers arrived in the early 1860s, many with the Canadian Land and Emigration Company founded by Thomas Chandler Haliburton.

Forgot to mention that our Resources section has been checked for broken links and has been updated with several new resources. If you've found a website or book that doesn't appear on the list, we'd love to hear about it.
