amon chester born in ccaldwell county north carolina to zora chester . Amon was married to sarah e hollar and they lived in wise county virginia. Amon and sarah had a son named vernon chester born in 1904.

I don't know if you are still looking for this information, but Amon was my great-grandfather, married to Sarah E. Hollar, and they had a son named Vernon; however, had a few more children to include my grandfather; Cleatus P. Chester.  Unfortunately, we have never been able to discern who Amon's father was.  Amon and Sarah resided in Pound, Va. (Wise County).  Should you have already discovered this information, please forward to me.

We are the Chesters from Lenoir, Caldwell County, NC, where Amon was born and the rest of his family lived. My husband's grandfather was Robert T Chester, Amon's brother. We have found a marriage certificate and a death certificate for Amon on www.familysearch.org with a father's name. We have visited Pound, VA several times for the Chester reunions. I have not found this information about Amon's father on any of the other brothers and sisters' records as of yet, it just says "Unknown" for the father for the ones I have found.
