I've just found out that I'm connected to the House of Percy and now that my tree has gotten so much bigger I'd like to cut some of my work in my personal tree in RootsMagic. I see that I can export a GEDCOM for a person. How well does that work? I'm fine with adding sources and media, I'm looking more for basic info for my tree that I can add onto later. How many generations back would this GEDCOM go? Would it be their entire tree? Seems daunting to add hundreds of people one by one. I've been printing out ancestor lists for people but that only goes back 7 generations and then I have to print out the continuing chart for each person that continues. That is a lot of time and paper and work. Can I cut this down? I'm also fine with this being work to do, I just want the lesser of the two evils as far as paperwork and data entry, lol.
Edited to add: How do I merge multiple GEDCOMS together? There is no way that the tree(s) are just one gigantic pretty and perfect tree. I'm going to have to piece them together.
