My Ancestor Daniel LeBlanc was born in 1626 and arrived in Acadia in 1650 when he married Francoise Gaudet.  He was listed in the 1671 Census as having wife and 6 children.  Can I import his family tree if its available on wikitree?

Welcome Daniel,

A good way to start is to enter your own information, then your parents and grandparents and build your tree up to 1626 Daniel.  I see that Bob already gave you the link to his profile.

This link might help you get started.

So, he's already here ... you'll learn this as you work more on Wikitree, but there's a couple of boxes at the top of profile displays ... I just entered his name and did a search and, voila: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/LeBlanc-100

His profile is part of the Acadian project so you need to tread lightly ... have fun.

Hi, I just completed a bunch of merges in the Daniel LeBlanc line. You were given good advice when trying to add Acadians before the 1800s. Most of them are already here but names may vary. Here is how the Acadian Project prefers to handle names: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Familles_Acadiennes. We use the surname spelling that the Acadian historian Stephen A. White uses. Put alternate spellings in the "other last name" field. Good luck and please contact me or Roland Arsenault if you have any questions.

But, if you have additional information that is sourced!!!!  (I can not emphasize this enough), please add it directly to the profile following the style that is already there (or improving what's there as the case may be). Add the sources in detail so they can be verified by others.

Thanks for contributing to the Acadian Project and please join us if you are so inclined. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Acadians
