There are many trees on ancestry with this same source listed. The census provides the names of some of the siblings, including a brother David who died in Alabama. There is a Nancy Spearman who died in Alabama, also about 1898. 

I would recommend following the life of David and see if she might have lived in his household. Also, Nancy had a twin David, n according to your source.

Nancy Spearman was born 20 March 1835 in Pickens, South Carolina. But I cannot find a spouse.  Her parents are James Meyers Spearman -Born 1808 Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina, Died 1850 -Shelby, Alabama- Wife - is Elender Roper  1808-1898.  James Spearman 's parents are David Samuel Spearman 1774-1851 and mother is Nancy Clardy 1774-1855

Elender Roper born 1808 Pickens, South Carolina, Die 08  Jan 1898  Spouse is James Meyers Spearman.  I counted 9 children,  I printed out the Family tree of both James Meyers Spearman, and his wife Elender Roper.Her parents are Joshua Roper - 1778-1856 and a Mary Singleton - 1778-1870.  I have to stop right there cause I do need to go to bed and Let me know if you need any other information,  Nancy
