I did a google search.  Didn't come up with much.  I found 2 books that contain his genealogy, but they are not on line.

"History of the Ancestry of Rupert James Spearman and Related Families"  Review says:  "John Spearman (1656-1682) immigrated in 1656 from England to Old Rappahannock County, Virginia where he died before 1683.  ...."

"Descendants of John Spearman of Virginia"  by Dorothy M. Spearman Saulpaw & Rupert Broadhurst Spearman.  Review says: "John Spearman, parents not listed, was in Virginia around 1660.  He was married to Susannah ____? by 1666.  They had one child.  He died before 1683.  ..."

Not much to go on, but maybe you could find these books in your local library.

Thank you,  Ok so with John Spearman c1660  and Susanna--?, unknown,  Do you know if they had a son Thomas Spearman b. 1672 he went by the name Job, and when his father passed he was between the age of 8 or 13 and his Guardian was with  a man named John Willard Sr. and John Willard Jr, was giving land at the death of Job Spearman he left young John Willard Jr, land in Virginia, I know I read this information in a book but is these books a good source? Please if you have anything on the Spearman family share,  Thank you and have a Blessed Day!
Just got home from church - and my day is blessed!  thank you!

I'll do some more research and respond later, Donnie.

Ok Thank's

I've been searching American Ancestors (a subscription site) for anything regarding John Spearman, Thomas/Job Spearman, John Willard in Virginia.

Came up empty handed except for this piece of trivia:

Book: "The Virginia Genealogist" [The Virginia Genealogist. Washington, DC: J. F. Dorman, 1957 - 2006. (Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2009.) p. 291.[https://www.americanancestors.org/databases/virginia-genealogist-the/image/?rId=24355276&volumeId=12583&pageName=291 subscription site]

The Chapter title is "Quit Rent Arrears for Essex County, 1714."  Subtitle: "According as they have been paid to the Receiver Genll. for the patented Lands in Essex County."

Along with several others are listed on p. 291:

Jno. Williard - 150 acres 3 / -  (I think that means 3 shillings)

Job Speerman - 470 acres  9 / 4 (I think that means 9 shillings, 4 pence)

Donnie, note the spelling of "Williard" and "Speerman"  That may be helpful as you continue searching.

Wish I had more information, but that's it.

Cheryl
