hello all

i was going over several profiles,  and someone  has   added a  wife  to my grandfather  which  this  one is wrong...(Adams-29191 created 17 May 2017) i did not  do this adding.  Can someone  tell me how to fixi t now.  they also added  things to  bio  and  say no  sources.  I do not mind someone helping me, but do not add worng info, cause now it has messed up a few things

I can go to my mother in laws name Bates-7925 (Ruby Marie King)  and it shows daughter bates, Daughter of James Everet Bates and Minnie Catherine Adams(Adams-29191) which this is wrong.  , but when i go to Rubys  dad  which is  James Evert Bates  (Bate-7928), this shows teh right wife of Martha Roberta  Wooten  (Wooten-1227)

I know this is asking mabe to much but could someone  go over this and see how i can fix this.

Deborah, I'd suggest that you contact one of the mentors (perhaps the one who has left notes on your own profile) to help sort it all out.  There's a lot of confusion there, and I don't see all the things you're seeing on the profiles.  It doesn't appear that anyone else has added or changed anything on those profiles, and I think you may be seeing a system-generated note about the unsourced profile.  If there are incorrect relationships shown, that can be fixed.
Deborah, is Minnie Adams James Bates' mother? It looks like you stated that in his biography, but may have accidentally added Minnie as James' wife on May 17. You can add Minnie as James' mother by visiting his profile, selecting "add mother" and entering Adams-29191
Hi Karen - I think you hit it.

Debbie - I reattached Minnie Catherine Adams as James' mother, but I couldn't find that you had created a profile for his father.

It took me a while to find a FamilySearch census record (a couple of hours! that's just one reason why I don't mentor sources). Anyway, found the 1910 record for the family & developed Minnie's profile/added info & sources (and removed {Unsourced} and other default text).

The {Citation needed} superscript notes are placeholders - please add your source for the info there. Enclose it in <ref> </ref> tags & it will show up under the Sources headed, along with the Find a Grave and 1910 Census references.

Give me a holler if you have any questions.

Cheers, Liz
sorry - meant to share this FamilySearch link (where I finally hit on a way to find the census record... looking for Columbia Ayers, who's listed in the 1910 census info on James' profile):

You can "edit marriage" and delete a wrongly assigned spouse.  Sometimes this addition of a wrong spouse also includes some offspring that also need to be deleted. You can also go to the changes page and undo the change, to revert back to a previous state where the data was all correct.
