How to I collaborate with other Pratt's on here?

I have been stuck on my tree for about two years.  Trying to see if anyone has actual proof of lineage on my fathers side.

I have Silas Pratt born 1726, son of Ephriam Pratt born 1704 at Sudbury, Middlesex, MA who married Martha Wheelock. We must be cousins.

I need to add some generations to my WikiTree familytree to show the connection of my more recent Pratt's back to Silas, Ephriam and earlier Pratts. I have it that the line goes back to Hingham, Norfolk, England.

From Ephriam Pratt born 1704, it goes back to Ephriam born abt 1669, then to Thomas, Joshua and Henry Pratt born 1570, Hingham, Norfolk, England.

Always nice to meet family.  I have questions about Silas Pratt.  I have been working on the Pratt line for almost two years and keep getting stuck. I know the records are scarce but I have seen so many trees that have Ebeneezer instead of Ephraim as well as different Silas Pratts from Weymouth Mass.  I am trying to collect actual proof that Silas was indeed my 5th great grandfather as he is Ephraims son and not Ebenezers.  This has proved difficult.  Thanks for responding and again nice to meet you.

Hi there. I've been researching the Pratt family line all summer.   Nehemiah is my fourth great grandfather and I have Silas as his father and another Silas as his great grandfather.  I have Ebenezer as the next in line, but also see Ephriam in some records.  I am so confused.  I have found some books on Pratt genealogy and I think they say that Ebenezer Pratt and Tabitha Crane are Silas' parents.

Amazing!  Thank you.  I am still learning how to navigate this website.  I am not sure how to view others trees.  I can not find any proof of Silas Pratt having a wife.  The two Silas Pratts born about a year apart from each other are both said to have had a wife named Desire, but most people say its Hannah Parker.  It is confusing.

That is what I keep finding.  I have built a tree on Ancestry and Family Search.  Silas is where most trees differ and if you follow Ephraim as his father then people disagree again with Thomas Pratt.  I have read several books about the first settlers of Mass and the records are varied.  The family search tree changes on a weekly basis.  I appreciate all your help.  Feel free to look at my ancestry or familytree page and let me know if you see any mistakes

I have Thomas Pratt born about 1630, d 1692 m Susannah Gleason in my line.

My most recent Pratt married Seth Hayward in 1748 in MA She was Tabitha Pratt born abt 1724 at Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA per my Hayward book.  Tabitha Pratt's father was Joseph L Pratt Jr. whose father was Joseph Pratt who was the son of another Joseph Pratt.  The last two Joseph Pratt's were born in Weymouth, MA. Prior to that was Matthew Pratt, born in England in 1695 in England.

In my research I have not found any proof that Thomas Pratt was the son of any Pratt born in America, therefore I can not say with certainty who his parents are.  I can trace my Pratt family from myself to Thomas Pratt 1615-1706 and Elizabeth Kingham 1600-1673.  I am almost positive that Macuth and Joseph Pratt are not in my family line as great grandparents, most likely cousins or uncles.

Have you ever looked at the "genealogists" list for the PRATT surname? You can see it here: https://www.wikitree.com/genealogists/PRATT

There are a couple of other ways to get to that, too

• You can type PRATT into the Last Name box on any WikiTree page (except in G2G)
• On your profile page, you can click the PRATT tag, and you'll see a list of other WikiTree genealogists interested in that surname
• In G2G, you can click the PRATT tag, and you'll see a list of questions using that tag, and you'll see a link for "PRATT Genealogy." That link will take you to a list of profiles with the PRATT surname, and you'll also see a link on that page for "genealogists," which will take you to the list of other WikiTree genealogists interested in that surname.
• And, of course, you can post a note in G2G, which you did! ;-)

If you don't have the marriage year for a couple, but know the birth year of the child, you can enter that year as the upper end of the range and pick something like 10 or 20 years prior for the earliest likely year of the marriage. You can assume that they married in the same county and city as the child was born in.
