Lucinda Cosper Kimmel

I am searching for the parents of Cosper-197.  I have found census records, death and burial records, marriage, etc.  But have not been able to locate parents for Lucinda, birth date July 1855, Indiana. She married Oliver Kimmel. So she is Lucinda Cosper Kimmel. (There exists on WikiTree a different woman who is Lucinda Kimmel Cosper ).

Some records show Casper rather than Cosper.

She is in the household of John Cline in 1870.  There are several young people in that household with different surnames - so perhaps it was a boarding house or maybe where farm kids stayed while going to school?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There's a family pedigree on familysearch.org- which aren't always accurate/sourced, indicating she was the daughter of George Cosper and Emeline Kimmel.  Her birth is c1854/5 OH or IN. This would make her the child in this census.

Source: "United States Census, 1860", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M4F1-RD3 : 30 December 2015), Lucinda Casper in entry for George Casper, 1860.

United States Census, 1860 Allen Township, Noble, Indiana

George Casper         M     33     Pa
Emeline Casper         F     27     O
Lucinda Casper         F     6     O

Nice find....looks right to me.
It looks right to me, the dates and locations are correct.  I am willing to accept Casper, and add a notation about the Cosper/Casper difference.

Now I am challenged to find more about George and Emeline.

Thank you.
Thank you.  I looked at FamilySearch last night and did not find these.  Is it just my tired eyes, or does the FS list change (I cannot think it does)?
Sometimes it's just a matter of  wider date ranges or leaving the location blank/changing location, ie. instead of inputting Indiana, I think I put in US, when Indiana didn't lead me there!  Call  it pot luck!
I agree, pot luck a lot of the time.  I have been printing all the census originals and the added transcribed pages recently, looking closely at neighbors. I guess I need the newspaper archives to maybe find why Lucinda was living with the Klines in 1870.

Here is a Family Group Sheet for the Rev. Jacob Cosper Family. It includes a daughter Lucinda.

Possibly, searching for other members of this family will yield some results. Good luck with your search.
