Wars of the Rose's

No matter who, I look at in my tree, at or about the time my family immigrated, 1607 -1620 , they were residents of Lincolnshire, Warwickshire, all the places that were directly effected by the new laws of Henry, when he won the last time in 1560, or whatever.

But I guess my question is? do you mayflower, Jamestown ancestor people. Did they come from Warwick, or Lincoln (ad a shire), even Nottingham or Herefordshire, were huge players in the war of the roses!

Here is the thing, BOTH my sides are directly related to both YORK, and TUDOR. So, it is like when they got to America, they had known the stories and FAMILYS, of their family's and the beheadings and such, so married back into family's WITH THOSE trusted NAMES, that were affiliated in the war's OF THE ROSES? and their particular sides!

interested TO SEE WHAT POPS UP HERE!

thanks  in advance

Re: ancestors of Plantagenets who Henry VIII was a cousin from that old house that changes its name after War of Roses. Elizabeth Hutton Remington has Plantagenet blood. Her son immigrated to colonial America _ Mass. during the Puritan Immigation (I believe) It would help if you check this out. Got this from my heritage .
Hi Roberta,

You state that Elizabeth (Hutton) Remington has Plantagenet blood. On what source or documentation do you rely for that assumption? I have done some research and can find nothing supporting that statement.

Thanks, Tom
The profile does show a degree of seperation.

Its. 12 degree sepeperaion to henry tudor.

Not sure how much this will help with War of the Roses and Ancestors but is a documentary currently (2019) on Youtube called the Time Team - this episode these Archeologists and Historical Genealogist Researchers are researching and doing digs of the War of the Roses Location(s)

I enjoyed the War of the Roses you tube link and followed it on to other documentaries on the topic. It was fascinating, especially when it was about my ancestors.
Good stuff. Seems to be all roads lead to Warwick or his FAMILY.
Everything helps in my case. Thanks.

yes thank you!

See some new info right away, even tells of the Earls beheading!
I was kind of hoping others that are working on this first wave of immigration to America Would see the correlation of places they immigrated from, in England. To in America. Then they named all the places in America after where they came from in England, York, Essex, Warwick, even Plymouth and Hertford goes on and on! its a conspiracy!

So there is that correlation also!

I descend directly from Joan Beaufort who was the daughter of John of Gaunt and his mistress, later wife, Katherine Swynford. Their children were illegitimate and were given the last name of Beaufort. Henry Tudor was the son of her great-niece, Margaret Beaufort. All of this family was on the Lancaster side. So, yes, I can say with some confidence that my ancestors were involved in the war of the roses.

Joan Beaufort was also the mother of Cicely de Neville, who married Richard Duke of York.

That makes Joan the grandmother of the Yorkist kings Edward IV and Richard III.

In fact Joan's family were the causes of most of the trouble.  Another of her grandsons was Warwick the Kingmaker.
YES. But you will also find that your line to these people will be precolonial. My line is both sides Tuders, Lancaster, but these seemed proxeys for plantaginet and york.

And over and over my family married Warwicks line's in the colonys, Its really Erie. Like some reincarnation thing.

Both sides of my tree go to Henry Sinclair in the end. I think he is a long cousin and his cousin William sinclare is the other side and my grandfather on the other side. My brothers in laws line is just opposite.

My mom married her 6th cousin both lines are the woods.

Both lines are documented lines to the Scottish throne.

But my moms side is the Beauchamp line.

My dads line the Beauforts. I think. Its all so confusing because it is so intertwined.

My sister married her 16 cousin. Who has the same end lines as I do. Not exact, my grandfather is his cousin or vice versa.

It's amasing really. That we match for almost everyone. So. This I know, his line was here precolonial also. Our common ancestor is the 4 mayflower immigrants we match. His mothers line and mine are different, yet go to the same people on the end.

Those 4 immigrantes are also related to each other in some way.

I know its crazy.
We are related at the people I thought we would be. Early colonel.
