Martha Dabney was born 1742 in Cane Creek SC or Barnwell SC, I was told SHE moved to Amelia County, VA, in 1772 Martha moved to Granville NC, then 1789 Martha moved to Laurens County, SC then Martha died 1810 in Laurens County, SC.  I need Help with finding Martha's parents, John and Sarah Dabney.

Hi Margie ,  if you do end up looking up Cornelius Dabney , there is another profile that may be a duplicate under a French spelling.  I don't know the profile ID  or the spelling.  The merge that was proposed was rejected based on dates and conflicting parents.  I believe they are the same man.  So if they are your family be aware there could be a possible split line.

There's some conflict in your request as at least one author has named her father as John Dabney and her mother as Sarah (Jennings) Dabney, which doesn't seem to be the case as Sarah was married to Cornelius Dabney, whose will doesn't list Martha as one of the daughters of Cornelius Dabney and Sarah (Jennings) Dabney.  Could she have been the daughter of John Dabney and another woman named Sarah?  The will of Corneilus Dabney is as follows:

  Will of Cornelius Dabney
February 7, 1765. - In the County Court of Hanover the will of Cornelius Dabney was recorded. He names his wife Sarah. His children, whom he names in his will were: William, John and Cornelius; the latter died before he did, as he mentions that his portion of the estate was to be sold, and the proceeds divided among the children of his deceased son, Cornelius. He names his son-in-law C. Harris, his daughters Mary Elizabeth Maupin, Fanny Maupin, and Anna Thompson, and the husbands of two others, Brown and Johnson, and appointed John Dabney and Henry Terrell his executors. This will was dated October 25, 1764."<ref>[[http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~brookefamily/dabneycornelius.htm]]</ref>

David , last night I saw you have done some work on the Dabneys in the past.  Thank You for your work on them.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Please tell me who I should ask if the Dabney's were ever in South Carolina from 1740 to 1760.
