Add unrelated person - ADD NEW PERSON button does not initiate DB update

Good day,

 

Since the changes have been made on the above mentioned screen, I am not able to create/add new unrelated persons. I am using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 11.  If I leave out the birth date, there appears to be validation done to stop the transaction, if you add the birth date nothing else happens.

Your help with this will be appreciated.

I think you are saying that you can add an unconnected profile, but it doesn't show up in the search database. If so, I am also seeing the same thing, and I am using Firefox.

I just added a new unrelated person as a test.  I had no difficulty creating the profile. (It included both birth and death dates.)

However, his profile doesn't appear yet when I do a search on his name, nor when I open the surname page for his name. I created some profiles yesterday that were connected to another person, and they showed up on the Surnames page immediately.

I have tried to created the person some hours ago and tried again. Yes, I have experienced that new profiles may take some time before you can find it though a search for that name, suppose the indexing take some time. Since the change to the screen where the gender was moved to the top section of the screen, I have not been able to create a single unrelated person on WikiTree.

There was also no changes to my PC that may cause the problem.

So you cannot create new unrelated profiles.

Meanwhile, that unrelated profile I created is showing up in name search now, so it was just a lag in being added to the database.

I suggest that you tag this question with tags like sysops and bug to get staff attention.

The person that I tried to create was Nicolaas Francois Anderson, still not showing on the search on Anderson or with these names.

And yet I just created an unrelated profile, and it showed up right away in the search. Weird.

Well I just went and entered a (Add) new profile which I don't believe is  connected.  This was a Darwin Butt-969.  I added a birth source and category Ohio Licking Monroe and he showed up immediately in my watch list and on the category page, though, as I'd have expected not on the unconnected list as it won't change until overnight.
