My grandfather Charles Johnson  was from skredsvik or skridsvik in uddevalla born april 12  1892 immigrated 1908-1912 ended up in Brooklyn New York married Andrea Bourfsen of Norway in Brooklyn 1915, they moved to Phil. Penn. sometime around 1917-1918 then back to Staten Island New York where he died in 1947. My father John was born in Phil. Penn. 1919 he had a brother Andrew also born Phil. Penn, Walter & Herbert Johnson born Staten Island New York. One piece of paper listed his last name as Johnsen

My great grandfather is Andrew Johnsen born in 1881 in Norway and died in 1939 in New York he married Elizabeth Smith who was also born in Norway 1885 and died in 1973.There son's are my grandfather William K. Johnsen born N.Y.1912-Died in N.J.1978, My Uncle Walt born N.Y.1915-Died 1984 N.Y. There are two sisters to Margaret Johnsen born 1910 N.Y. - Died ? and Mabel Johnsen born 1913 in N.Y.- Died 1998 in N.Y. I'm having a hard time finding any thing out to. It seems like the name's keep's changing. I do know when the last name was changed, that some kept it the same johnson. When I'm looking up Johnsen/Johnson I don't know where to look.
