James McDonald, my gggrandfather, born in Tennessee in 1800, moved to Marshall County Alabama. He married Nancy E Starnes, born 1803 in Tennessee, on 17 May, 1870. Would like to find his parents, father born in Scotland and mother in South Carolina, according to 1880 census. We are unable to find any info prior to James McDonald. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
