Help identifying people in antique photo

Question

So I have a mystery that I need a little help with. A nice person in Minneapolis sent me an email stating there was an antique photo. On the back was a hand written note with the date and family name. I looked it up and sure enough, it was my 3rd great uncle. Looks just like his brother. I ordered the set of 3 antique frames for $5 ( I guess the photos were free and I was buying the frames). Score!

Here is the problem. Two of them are of my 3rd great uncle's family. Great photos. The 3rd photo is a family that looks familiar, but not in my tree. I've looked through the 1910 and 1920 census, but can't seem to find them. I need some help finding a home for this photo. Who are these people?

A very fun, if frustrating, mystery! If it was my little mystery and I was very sure it wasn't my family, I think I would do a couple things. You said you looked at the census, but maybe try again and concentrate on the streets close to where your own family resided. If the photos were together they must be friends.

If the photos aren't related at all, then I think I'd look on line for an historical society that would cover the Minneapolis area. I would look to see if they have a forum where you could post this same question. You might have luck there.

If you've done that, I'm sorry. But that's what I'd do, and if it didn't help, I'd have to live with the mystery. :)
