Parents of Joseph Madison Haley B. 06 Nov 1861 in TN

Hi, I am looking for the parents of my Gr. Grandfather , Joseph Madison Haley.  He was born 06 Nov. 1861 in Tennessee...... He told my grandmother that he walked from Tennessee to Texas  when he as abt. 14 yrs. old....  He was a farmer and had a large family. His wife died in child birth with her last child. Her oldest daughter took the child and raised her as her own... I seen his death certificate and I guess his 2nd wife did not know anything about his parents... So, there was no help there... I have several trees on Ancestry.com... But, Have not find any info that would help me. I had their DNA test...  And, it did show some Haley families. But, I do not know how to connect the dots..... Thanks a lot for any info you could give me. I am SarahAnn63 on Ancestry...

Madison Haley est. birth 1860 gender: Male age in 1870:10y White birthplace: TN home in 1870 TN, James L Haley M 24y TN; Haley F 23y TN; Madison Haley M 10y TN; Oscar Haley M 1y TN

1930 US Census has Joe M. 68 and Emma 58 Haley in Ft. Worth, Tarrant, TX. Both of Joe M's parents were born in TN.
