Italian Roots project update - October 11, 2015

Hello Everyone!

I want to keep a regular pulse to the Italian Roots project efforts and invite others to dive in.

I thank those that have shared their Italian Heritage One Name Studies and Italian One Place Studies efforts.  I've been adding them to the Italian Roots Project free space page.   If you are working on one of these, let us know by commenting here of or directly editing our page:  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Italian_roots or by posting on the bulletin board there.  If you aren't yet working on one - please consider doing so!   

I've created a Google Plus community for us to use - but feel free to post here on G2G - so it gets the attention of the wider WikiTree community - which is very important at our early stage.

Lastly - as we're not yet an official project - we need to document the community interest in this effort so that we can get a WikiTree Leader on board.  Please indicate whether you are willing to be part of the working group for this project so we can list you on the working group member roster.

I will add a little discussion on this topic in a comment section.

I am thinking we want to be able to track those who have general interest and want to be involved as general participants - and those who are willing to be part of a steering committee who will step up to make this project a reality.  Perhaps for now - we can just be clear about our willingness in respect to these two levels.

Please help me set up CENTANNI as a One Name Studty I am tracking hundreds of Centanni's - dead ones here and on findagrave, and living ones on facebook. I am finding CENTANNIs whose ancestors don't go back to Alia, Sicilia where I have a One Place Study, So it is time to broaden the search!

Thank you Michael! I am adding all my Centanni's to that category now  :). Thanks for showing me how to set up the ONe Name Study. I have several other Italian names with enough ancestors to set up a few more studies later. I will let you know if I need help :)
