Newt Frearson-5 ... my brickwall ancestor Daniel Gardner born 1827, where and to whom?

Question

My 2xg grand father Daniel Gardner is a mystery.  I don’t know where he was born  - it was around 1827.  His death records state he died here in South Australia in 1894.  Possibly born Ireland or Scotland.  Married Melina Dalwood 1850 in South Australia. I am trying to find him through DNA but it’s a challenge.
