How would I go about a category for a military massacre? [closed]

I've just started a mini-project to add profiles for the Australian soldiers massacred by Japanese forces at the Tol Plantation in New Britain (now part of Papua New Guinea, then the Territory of New Guinea) in 1942.

It was officially designated as a war crime, although nobody was brought to trial (very few of the Japanese troops involved are thought to have survived the war). Over 100 Australian troops who were captured or surrendered at Tol were then murdered, mostly by bayonet.

I found several military atrocities/massacres as categories, and all that I looked at seem to exist within particular location or war/battle structures. I wonder if there are any conventions in place for massacre categories and whether they might have a particular place within the broader category structure.

Views from Categorization as well as Australia Project & Military & War would be appreciated.

Honestly, I don't think we need an entire structure for this. Atrocities and massacres are an unfortunate, but inherent part of war.

However, I don't think creating a simple category would be an issue. For example, Category:Battle of Rabaul may be appropriate, and could be placed under Category: Australia, World War II.

Thanks Steven, a reasonable solution. I'll figure out how best to word a sub-category under Australian Army, World War II.
