Last week's WikiTree Challenge genealogy guest star was Meli Alexander, known as the DNA chef. Inspired by her love of food, we're looking at our connections to celebrity chefs and other "foodies" this week.

Of those included in this game, I am more closely related to Emeril Lagasse (17 degrees, blood relative of my uncle's wife), but seeing as how I'm sort of a celebrity chef myself, in a small way, I'm more closely related to myself. I wrote and self-published (with the help of a couple friends) "The Wild Mushroom Cookbook; Recipes from Mendocino, For Cooks Everywhere", available from my website: wildmushroomcookbook.com, over 300 recipes for 30 species of wild mushroom.
