What is a 'template timeframe' on a profile?

I'm using the suggestion page to correct errors on some profiles, and I can't figure out what a template is or how to fix the error. It's just birth and death dates, and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The explanation says "The template does not allow profiles to have a death date beyond a certain date." I have no idea what that means.

The {{Member | ONS | name=Cotner}} sticker is for active members not deceased profiles.

I would say the wrong sticker was applied to the profile. Probably the {{One Name Study | name=Cotner}} is the sticker that someone meant to use or should have used.
