Question on 30 day timeframe for merger auto approvals

Question

I proposed a merge on March 10th on 2 profiles where I am not on the trusted list of either. One PM gave approval on April 6th; there has been no response from the other side, but it still shows as pending rather than a default approval.

Is there a system glitch, or does the 30 day clock reset after the 1st approval?

The profiles are Beaman-1588 and Kelly-24103.

The 30 day clock starts when the merge is proposed. Maybe it has to do with how recent the death is? Sadly, the merge help page does not appear to address that. It may be that in this case you would need to be on the TL of both profiles.

However, you can see from the date that the clock has reset when something was done (ie approved) on 6th April.

I had a merge in the same state and sent it to Jamie yesterday. I suspect there is a bug somewhere.  She was able to complete it. Add bugs as a tag to the question.

Back in the day, this is how the merge clock operated. It finally was fixed, but it sounds like it has reverted to its old behavior.
