On the Southern Cross Stars team for the April 2024 Connect-a-Thon?

Hanging out with the Southern Cross Stars team for the Connect-a-Thon? Depending on where you live, we kick off on Friday, 12 April at 10pm AEST (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney etc), 9.30 pm (Adelaide, SA, NT), and 8pm Perth and Western Australia, and end 72 hours (exactly 3 days) later, ie on Monday 15 April at the same time as you started. 

This is one place where we chat. The other place is on the WikiTree discord server. If you haven't joined discord yet, see Help:Discord for more information. Let me know if you'd like to join Discord, but are having difficulties.

It would be great to know what we're all planning to work on this time, and how we are going, so we can cheer each other along.

With Anzac day coming up, I'm planning to work on building the trees for some ANZACs in the 'Pick a Soldier, Plant a Tree' database, as well as doing a bit more on the men who were killed in the Mount Kembla mine disaster.

I am going to be working on many of my unconnected families  - mostly in Queensland.

The Connect-a-Thon is such a great opportunity to expand your own family. That should grow your CC7 too!!

Hi Gillian - I'll only be a "part timer" this weekend.............grandparent duty! I'll be working on CC6, CC7 and CC8 connections.

I am going to try to add our son in laws family, add further family to my tree and some AIF soldiers if my brain copes with so much computer time.
