THE GLOBAL PROJECT

This month the Global Project has added its 31st managed country project - The Romania Project, managed by Melanie McComb, is now up and ready to accept members. Whether you have Romanian roots or are just interested in learning about a new country, we welcome you to join. Just leave a note on this thread and we'll get you signed up. That goes for any of our thirty other countries as well.

April 12th marks the start of the three-day Spring Connect-a-Thon. We'd love to add some new members to our team. Our Globetrotters came in first place for our division last time. We welcome you to come onboard and help us defend our championship title. (Don't worry, you do not have to work on "foreign" profiles to be part of our team).

After the Thon, on April 15th (1pm EDT, 6pm UTC), be sure to join Betsy Ko and me for another episode of the Global Spotlight. Last month we toured Andorra, and we visited Taiwan the month before that. You'll have to tune in to see where we are headed this month. Last month we also discussed using five different types of immigration and naturalization records to help uncover the name of your ancestral hometown. If you missed it, you can still find us on YouTube. This month, we will explore several alternative records for finding your ancestral hometown when the immigration and naturalization records don't tell you what you need to know.

It's going to be a fun month!

By sure to check out the G2G interview with this week's featured member, our very own Staci Golladay, coordinator of the Armenia Project. Nice job Staci yes

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our monthly Global Spotlight presentation will be postponed a week. We will now be presenting live on Monday, April 22 at 1pm EDT (6pm UTC).

Join us for a tour of our monthly Mystery Country, and as we present Part Two of our Resources for Discovering Your Ancestor's Home Village.

Hope to see everyone there.
