This is a photo taken in Tulsa, Oklahoma of my husband’s grandparents, Eunice and Hugh Hennen. They truly loved each other, and had a wonderful life together. She lived to be 100, and she told me that they did all the things that they wanted to do. They took several trips to see her sister in Colorado, and they even went to Canada a few times.

Thank you sweet Alexis for sharing another great photo ❤️❤️

Susan, thank you for your comment. She was very sweet, like you. She was a great cook, and I watched her make rolls—so mine would be like her rolls, but mine are usually not as good. smiley

A very lovely photo.  Thanks for sharing. heartheart

Robert, thank you for your nice comment.

My grandaunt and granduncle Rengelina Maria van Veenendaal and Andries Griekspoor.

I've never met them, but I think they look quite elegant/dapper in this photo.

They look very nice, and not too stuffy.

I don't know if I could put living couples on this profile. what if one person is dead would you be able to share it? Thats bot true but what if???
Hi Anne--

A photo's privacy level is linked to that of the profile it's related to.  So, you're right.  We can't see this one because their profiles are private.  Too bad; I would have like to have seen the hats!

Betsy

Climbing the tree in search of a couples photo, I find the portrait of Sara (Monck-168) Mason and her husband Robert Mason, my 6th great grandparents that I share with others.

John, portraits like this one always make me wonder how long they had to sit still while the painter did the painting.

Charles Jervas-1, an Irish Portrait Painter.   M, after thinking on the subject for a few moments, sittings came to mind, and upon looking up 1700's portrait sittings it suggested about 4 of about 1 1/2 hours each, although many more sittings could be required depending on the circumstances.
